Will the fonts of the week be fonts that you've used or just ones you've seen and liked?
If it's the former, is there an chance you can post images to your favourite piece of work where you've used the font?

Kinda 'here's my favourite and here's what I did with it'... sorta thang.

I think it'd be interesting to see what you did with them (if anything).

ok - good point but primarily i do web/media work so dont get a chance to do lots of print work

most of the fonts i pick are one thats if i was doing more print i would love to use - it that makes sense

at present its just a way to show some of the other members whats out there.

trouble is alot of my work cannot be posted ( or i would end up having to say no to a ten foot bitch named doug ) so i think it will just be show and see exercise

i like this font because.........blah,blah

Btw, are these all fonts that you have?

Or are you unable to comment on the grounds that...?

You like the ER9 eh? That's a fine typeface if I do say so myself.

It looks interesting, but the light weight seems to have some overlapping paths. Tisk Tisk.

not seen the ads old boy - but the beeb used to have a bunch of fonts they'd use and normally not stray too far from them, it proved a lot easier when outsourcing design work (thats changed a bit now tho i'm sure). Chances are I might have it if its one from their usual library of fonts.

I know the one you mean, mik, but can't find anything on the BBCi site to refer to/check against.

If it pops up in static form then I have a root around the old gray cells to see if I can match it.
From what I recall I don't think it'll be anything too esoteric. Probably just an elegant, but commonplace script.

The Radio Times might be a good reference source.

Wasn't hard to find:

Looks better on screen than blown up on a lime background but still...

God knows where I 'remembered' it being a script font from?
Must've been the swirling decoration that peppered my memory.

It looks fairly generic so there are sure to be a zillion others just like it that you could use w/o losing anything.
