Xplane explanations

Hello everyone,
www.xplane.com is a site I discovered a year back. All this while I wanted to do what they do there. They specialise in explaining difficult business related concepts in graphical format. Please take a look at the case studies in the web site to see what I mean. These graphics are called Informational Graphic - the short of which is Infographics.

Now, what I want to find out is whether the illustrations are done using the Pixel Art technique or not. Pixel Art is a different way of creating effective graphics for games etc. It's a very time-consuming way of work.

I really need some piece of advice from the seniors of the design world as to how to go about creating such graphics.

Thanks, Oli.
How does Eboy do this thing in Flash? Did you take a look at Xplane? The illustrations are very smooth edged...unlike in http://www.solopixel.com

Hi.

Well, I only know the hard way of doing such things (that means a 2x1 pixel brush in Photoshop, patience, and plenty of zooming in )
You could do a search on google on "isometric drawings" and also check this link for software that might help.
and a pretty basic tutorial CLICK

Xplane looks like it's done using vector art not pixels. Illustrator and some time.

Getting closer to Xplane

Hi!
I have created these in Illustrator. Still a long way to reach the Xplane standard but I think I'm getting closer and I'm damn excited!

hi pauravi
I know from xplane that they are using Illustrator for their graphics. So these graphics are not Pixel but Vector Art.
