call me stupid, but how does free minidisks and ipods help people with their education? or does it just make people who can't spell feel a little better about themselves? i really don't get it. |

If your not feeling well enough for a lecture you can ask somebody else to sit in for you (ie. a mate) and they get 15ph for the privlege you then split the money and have a night out. Oh and you also get a dvd player as well. I don't get it either but I didn't ask any questions. |

There's hundreds of colleges around the UK that give free laptops to EVERY student. And the EMA, £30 a week if you have a low income. The majority of students get some form of EMA so its not very unlikely that a Uni is giving away free laptops for dsylexics is it. |

something like 90 % of people on visual courses have some sort of dyslexia, if you think about it, it makes sense, they have trained there visual communication skills better than others as they have difficulties in communicating with words. thus images are alot more important to them. |

graphics at Leeds uni is very straight laced, very commercial industry based. I know because I nearly did the course and I have a few friends who are on it. Leeds met is very conceptual based so your free to explore your ideas and style in much more depth through the Learning agreement. (Your own briefs). You intiate your own learning. I have quite a few friends who went to manchester to do the communication course and they love it, they've said its very diverse. Its shame you can't afford to do an MA Pat, I'm lucky that I already work freelance and have just saved up from doing various jobs. Goodluck though, I'm sure you'll find what you want to do. Bec |
