That first paragraph sums up my Metallica experience in a similar way. Except for the Mexico bit.

lol, they just skewed the logo, how lame. Must of cost $10000000000 to do that. Lars is an idiot, he should have just kept the same logo if they were just going to do that. Dumb. Lars has destroyed this band with mainstream music they have been recording (anything after Load sucks).

I just stick with anything old school Metallica. Though, ill have to admit that when they do sign up to pull out the Guitar Hero: Metallica game, im sure to get it.

I'm no fan of Lars, but he is all for music packaging/design.
Whether this is because he is so against illegal downloads and more profit for him is another matter, personally no matter what they put on their covers, they'll still sell millions of units and let's face it they've had some crap artwork throughout their career. (shame Lars didn't have an interest in design back then)

Metallica have gone back to their old sound, St Anger was awful, the new record is actually pretty good.

Nothing metal about it, gold diggers (no pun intended) don't date or marry poor people.

However it must be easier marrying a very old multi millionaire than having Lars in tow.

I hate metallica and everything about them, but I like the rebranding job. The author of that post is spot on, the previous rebrands were nothing compared to the original.
