Many of your "swirls" are a bit jaggy, they should be smoothe. They are also too detailed and thin, if the logo should work in small sizes. All letters are tied together, except the "S" in Strike and the "K" in Kings, which look like a mistake. The circle, which I belive should symbolise a bowlingball, needs some holes in it, so it is more clear what it is... It also looks like you have used two slightly different blacks, one for the ball, and one for the rest... And where are the "team colours", which is a part of the makeover parameters?

I think both designs are too simple, they look like they have 30 minutes put into it, I agree Benjamin that some how the colors should be incorporated.

Well, the new design would not work either, once again referring to the "makeover parameters". The logo would be printet on yellow t-shirts, so the "STRIKE" and crown in yellow/gold gradient, might become hard to spot. The holes in the bowlingball created with gradients, are also hard to spot... the combo of the crown an bowlingball is not very "creative" as an idea for a logo, but it gets the point across...

How about a stylised illustration of a bowling ball about to hit the pins. From the right angle you could make the pins look like a crown.

No. Not really.

I got bored so I spent 15 minutes knocking up something with a little more concept.

Paddy has the right idea. It screams bowling and it still gives the effect of 'kings'. Something like that or combining bowling and 'kings' would work.

Hardly. I gather that you're pretty new to logo design. That's just a concept. The marque needs to be re-drawn and re-drawn and the type is fairly appalling.

Hours of work would be involved in getting a presentable logo from that concept. Lots of trial and error.

Do some research into bowling and the vibe that goes along with it.

if i remember correctly wasn't the shirt yellow. So why design it on a black background. If it is on yellow you've already los the underline and dot for the i.

He can always change the colours...

Paddy's is nice, work an execution out of it. Your latest one has potential too... I'd make the dot of the eye into a more of a smashed pins visual perhaps? Also you need to find a way to bring it together a bit more, it feels loose as if the ball holes, text and underline are all too seperate.

Why not do an execution where the ball has travelled through the dot of the eye (the pins) towards the viewer... it might look quite dynamic. (Again you could work the smashed pins/crown combo in?)
