Dear Friends, I am asp.net programmer and program some good application. But the design was done by some other designer. Can some body help me how start with some good and professional design. I like to work with macromedia software Dreamweaver,Fireworks. |

knowing the software does not make you a designer personally, to start out i would forget the software and get some books on the basics of grids; layouts, fonts, usability and accessibility. books on design, not books on software. and of course read them. you can pick up stuff off the internet but keep in mind that anybody can write about design on stick it on the web. there's no bullshit filter. then start playing with the software following tutorials and doing a few personal projects producing simple small page/site designs. pgo's thread on beginners web design is very helpful. after that.. you should be getting somewhere. enjoy the process. anti social marketing
