That font wasn't stretched - it's just a crap extended font. I actually think you're going backwards mate - the first one is the best, though not amazing. Don't worry about choosing a 'crazy' font or wacky design. Have you tried a serif? Or at least try a serif ampersand with a simple sans serif font. Also, I think I prefer 'Orbin & Co.' to Orbin & Company. It's shorter and you could have it on one line... Try upper and lower, rather than all upper case. It's shouting at the moment. |

Agree. The first version is the best of this lot. Futura is respectable enough to be used for a serious financial company. If you can shift the R in Orbin leftwards just a tad, it'll be fine. If you want to get artistic with the ampersand, try using something really ornate and curly - the font will be a good contrast with it. My free fonts www.utfi.net

Loads of serif fonts have some lovely ampersands, particularly the italic versions. Try Goudy italic, or even Minion italic (bit weird, but could work if applied with finesse). American Typewriter's pretty nice as well. As far as your sans serif goes, I don't mind the Futura. Could try Avant Garde or something as well though... |
