Update: These business cards have been a blinding hit!

but the small type size has made them an absolute bastard to print on rough card stock (cereal packets).. so regrettably i am going to have to do some new plates using bigger type.

will put visuals past your noses again. you's where most helpful last time around

still going to keep the small type versions for special though. Also i am going to use the packaging from adobe cs2/3, quark4 and macromedia studio8 to make some extra special geek edition cards

thanks again all.

How small was your small type?....... 9pt? and did you have to loosen the tracking for better legibility?

it is well small stuff - 7+ point!

the letterforms are bleeding in ink very easily on the soft wobbly pulp board (getting a hit rate of about 1 in 4 prints). get some better results on smooth silk stock (1 in 2)

9 point will solve it without tracking i bet. our old stationery was 9 point and worked just dandy.

just got too cocky, dammit!

i blame coops and that mr fred.

where do you get you rubber sheet's made? cause i fancy some of this home made stuff! And that press looks quite cheap as well so might have to save my pennies for one.

Have you thought about getting them done digitally?

Plasticised toner is less prone to fill-in than ink.

it's finding a printer brave enough to put cerial packets through their pride and joy. the printer we use for most of our stuff looked at me like i had farted when i asked. might have a chance on an old single colour litho at some point.. but really need to eat some more shreddies to make the work setting the bugger up worth it!

clients have fallen in love with us printing by hand anyway. guess they think it's cute.
