Society Logo/design suggestions please
Hi, I'm frantically trying to design something for our University LGB (Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual) Society. It will be aimed at potential members and used on a banner, in business cards, leaflets, posters and on our website. It needs to give a young, relaxed, friendly, modern and not stereotypical impression and yet still try and get across who we are. Attached is the logo we currently have and I'm a bit unsure about it - mainly because the font I have tried there really doesn't fit. I'm not too sure about the logo as a whole but would really appreciate any suggestions at all and any suggestions for a more suitable font. Thanks in advance! Rich |

well... you are obviously playing with the "rainbow colors" which is pretty much required if you are doing anything gay. But is it just me or is the text sitting on a no-entry sign (lol, no pun intended). Personally I think this one calls for a complete redesign. I know you are frantic but keep trying things and re doing them a lot of times. Each time evaluate it and decide what you like about it and dont like about it. Dont settle for your first attempts... constantly question them and then usually your last and most easy one will be the best. |

Makes me think "Rainbow Pepsi". You have business cards now? Crikey! Student's Union has moved on a bit since my day. You probably meant other things when you said you didn't want stereotypical ideas, but have you thought about trying something non-rainbow related? I realize it's kinda the standard for LGB imagery, but it would be nice to see something a bit different. |

Well I suppose it is better than a three way stick figure orgy. |

I personally like these guys' logo Sarasota Florida - Gay and Lesbian Community Center. I would say that adding some kind of symbol wouldn't hurt... |
