dimensions of layer

how can i find out the dimensions/meaurements of a specific photoshop layer.

Every layer is the same size as the document size? If you mean the size of something on your layer, then command/control click the layer in question then look at the dimensions on your info tab.

sorry yeah I meant the size of like an object on the layer like a shape for example.

Hehe no worries well what I said should work if its rasterised if not, simply draw a marquee around it and the info tab will tell you how big that is

press control + click on your layer, much more precise as a marque around the layer... anyway that how i do it. everybody as their own methods i guess
