Advice on Designing a site for emotion

I have to redesign a site to convey the emotion of the company's brand image.

The adjectives to best describe the company is:
- Fun, not mainstream (underground), laid back, creative, hip

Does anyone have any suggestions on layout, color, pictures, sounds, features, or anything else that can help express these emotions?

it is all about colors of how you can get the eyes to move across the page of a site, it you can get your viewers eyes to scroll across the page with ease it will make them calm and happier, make the site SIMPLE and it will convery a better mood, for colors i would choose a primary color and it will convey hip, modern. a color that is BOLD will stand out making it more hip, and sounds NO SOUNDS, i would try and avoid sounds if at all possible, if you MUST use sounds then think of something like silent rain drops or a classical melody, but make the db level -6dbs and go from there, it needs to be quite for EVERYONE, not distracting.

Very good answer.
Fun and laid-back don't mean sloppy, either!
Good typography makes me calm and happy.
