Saville Parris Wakefield
Been meaning to see what has happening with Saville for a while, and when I saw the Saville font thread, I thought no time like now... Well he was an iconic designer, but what is he now in your opinion? I am not convinced he has grown since the days of Factory Records. In fact I would say he has regressed considering how everything has moved on so much. But what do I know... Saville Associates |

Not a bad client list though - is it? Design always moves on, but it always fishes from the past. Saville, Brody, Oliver, Attik, I think everyone today has been influenced by these designers at some point and will so again. Joy Division/Ian Curtis film Control: I'm not even sure he had anything to do with this along side Anton Corbijns direction and photography. Those fonts are all improvs. |
