OK.. This is for all you Graphic Designers out there...
see if you can conceptualise true visual communication.
(I work for a newspaper. Modernist in style and format, weekly and big on visual section fronts)

BRIEF:
- section front of Business
- Story: Google has finally come to the czech republic and bought a .cz domain, this will increase revenue to czech website through google's "adsense" advert thingie! (not sure what it is but i'm sure you web people can shed light/i only get ideas of story that have to be illustrated). The big thing is what does this means to the standard already established czech search engines... what will happen to them? cause google is massive!!
- Design: come up with illustration/photo-illustration encompassing this story...
single page, black and white..

I am not asking you to do my work as i finished it today, after around 18 hours in total brainstorming and playin around with input from editors, maxim designers, design editors and journalists...

The most difficult single visual concept i have ever had to do...
Just wanted to see what you could all come up with

Just the ideas thats all i want... concepts!!!

render google type with monster/animalistic persona eating or maybe just growling at the logo marks of the already established czech search engines... oh wait even better: large google logo on a teeter-totter with stack of other logos on the other side obviously outweighed.

Giant G shadow being cast over a bunch of scared/quivering little .cz search engine logos. Sort of plays on the playful Google identity.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of the idea I spent 30 seconds on, I'm scott free. I don't label myself "graphic designer".

It's a bit odd that you think someone can prove their worthiness of the title Graphic Designer / Whatever by shouting out concepts after seeing a 7 line brief.

Or maybe I'm missing something.

i knew there would be this sort of response..

i meant it as more of a challenge, all i see is alot of website stuff here and i know fuck all about that... so i thought it would be interesting to see what ideas everyone could come up with!!!... and the severn line brief is normally what i get there are other constraints but i thought there was no point making it over complex!!... it took alot of us alot of time to come up with a sound concept but only a couple of us were designers...

Thought it would be interesting thats all... you don't have to play. no ones gonna say your good or bad!!!

ex communist country up-until 10 yrs ago.... so there is alot of residual communism in the government!!!... i had a swastika badge in an illustration which had to be changed to something less properganda because i would have got fucked up the ass! the don't care that it was the paper who published they would bang up the designer cause he did it!!...

to be honest the only people i've ever met from here have been cock head, oli and weldo. I'm fairly scared of meeting anyone else.

I work with nowt but developers. If anyone here is in/from Norfolk and fancies a beer and a chat about something other than poxy fucking C# or .net etc it'd make a change.

Man does that sound desperate. (not to mention off the subject..)
