headache on my logo * UPDATE

Many thanks for people who had sort of vote for my logos, i had a few comments from the boss, he did pick (NO. 6) but mainly on the font, told me to get rid of the white block in 'A' as he doesn't like. I have added a few more logos for him to look at again feel free to look and comment on them.

Hi all,

new to this site, my boss wants a new logo for his company so i set out and design some logos for him , he wants it looking abit more conservative (non of those fancy logos) but more corporate looking, i think its down to the font that would make or break for the boss, some thing that looks strong and bold yet easy on the eye..feedback are welcome

Does anybody else think that there are too many options there?

I used to empty all the ideas out of my head to give the client the best choice - a client will never fail to suprise with their choice in this sort of situation and it often ended up with an end result *I* wasn't completely happy with.

Then I began to think that this was design by hit-and-miss, almost a 'shotgun blast', a spray of options.

More recently I have been picking 3-5, 'snipering' and only presenting designs that I would be completely happy with. I'm the designer, I get the say in the first round

Also means that logo you threw in there for a joke doesn't get picked - I've done it - it got picked and I have one less item in my portfolio result.
