Anybody have reference (websites / books) to design trends for decades - I realise this is pretty vague, but what I am looking for is styles that are indicative of that period whether it be 50's, 60's etc.

a lot of the Taschen books will cover what you're after

Ohhh thanks cam - I have the Web Design: Portfolios and Web Design: Studios from the Icon range and love them as nice little resources will have a look at that.
