I'm having a few problems opening EPS files that has been created on a mac when i try to open them in FreeHand on my PC. The file does contain data as i can open it in Fireworks, however it converts it to a bitmap, and i need it to be editable.

Anyone experienced similar, or know of any solutions?

You might have a bit more luck with Illustrator. Been a long time since I used FreeHand but from what I remember - whenever I had problems using EPS files Illustrator was the only app that would open them, then I'd resave to an older or more compatible format that my version of FH could handle.
