i cant load gmail, hotmail wont login, msn wont login I;ve tried loadsa stuff

I had some issues like that. I had a nice virus... Tried to make friends but it would not have it....

^^ gonna have to, over the past few weeks my stupid norton internet security has been 'updating' norton virus definitions...then i get an error msg saying blah blah ur virus definitions have errors... goin back to old one like of 2004 :S..

uninstalled - reinstalled, cleaned reg keys the lot u name it i done it to norton, (part from format) and it is still the same. Stupid computer.

i dont even know how to format a windows xp computer :S....my friend done it and all his drivers wasnt there when he reinstalled windows etc. + i need my drive partitioned again and i've got important stuff i need to keep which wont fit onto disk right now etc...

Norton really isn't that great anymore, it just does not pick up many virus's try some other free one's before you format. Something like AVG or such.

Of course his drivers weren't there...he formatted his hard drive - or should I say "erased" it. Windows XP has a huge library of drivers built in, but it can't have them all! Plus it's usually best to install drivers from the vendor of the hardware as they're usually more up to date.

It's not like a Mac where the OS only has a few types of hardware to deal with - PCs have a shit-ton of hardware comparatively.
