forrester research
Just wondering if anyone's ever bought anything from forrester.com before? I've registered and downloaded some of the freely available pdf's and while they're generally useful, I just can't help thinking that the actual data is probably available on the web somewhere and i'd simply be paying for the convenience of getting it all in one place. At $250 for a four-page report I know it's hardly extortionate, but when it's your own money rather than your company/client it's a different matter.. Links to good resources for the same kind of information (e.g. demographics of online buyers, what people are buying online in what volume, etc) would be helpful - i've tried all the usual suspects like the e-envoy, statistics.gov and a few others google threw up with no real joy cheers |

Mori provide a fair amount of free stuff on their site... haven't looked at it for a couple of years tho so can't give you a current opinion. Gallup may be worth a look too - last time I looked they had a 30-day free trial or you could sign up for a year for about 40 quid and get unlimited access to a large number of public polls. Harris release data from the previous year on their site, (but if they ever offer you to buy your company don't bother as they offer silly money - but that's another story). Trying to remember who else I've dealt with that offer stuff for nowt. |

In sweden we have something called 'Statistiska Central Byrån' .. wich means Center of Statistics or something. Its under government administration and therefor free. Dont you have something familiar to that in UK? |
