not for the cat it ain't.

Was looking at renting a friends two bed flat this weekend. Don't fancy selling/buying right now.

Anyone want to rent a stunning* studio flat in the west end of Glasgow? It has a very sexy garden.

*estate agent speak for 'not awful'.

Losing the backyard eh, but congrats on the lil'un walking. Now be ready to keep him off the stove, doors, toilet, drawers, first aid cabinet, etc.

How much is the rent?

Congrats, Kwills too

cheers coops/emil.

putting bars around the flat for the kid to rattle - but he can fish around in the toilet all he likes. We'll keep a spare key for the garden be a bit a of a walk though.

the rent. god knows. can't remember the amount but the flat downstairs rents for an amount that made me spit out my tea... the landlord tarted it up somewhat though. don't know if we can be arsed doing that.

for the area, and for a studio flat, i'd be guessing 400/m?

Bah, you're loaded. probably couldn't make enough to rent something like that.
(That is if I didn't misunderstand the prices)

Wouldn't be the cheapest. The area ups the premium. We basically can't afford to live there, we bought before the boom in the property market.

Around the corner in Maryhill you'd rent a two bed flat for the same price I'd gamble.

Oh well, I still have no idea how much I'm worth in pounds/year so rent is out of the question for me for now. At any rate, cheers for the clarification, I'll get my coat.

Emil, I'd say you'd be worth (Freelance rate) £200 to £300 per day depending on where you work. Head south and to the coast - I can't recommend Brighton highly enough for quality of life. Brighton - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Average rental rates in central Brighton:
Studio Flats £595 / €752.00
1 Bed Flats £740 / €936.00
2 Bed Flats £1,027 / €1,300.00
2 Bed Houses £1,118 / €1,400.00

Rent sounds high but if you can get regular work at a decent rate you can live fairly well down here.
