Going to a meeting with a design firm thinking I'd be offered some irregular freelance work and coming out with a permanent position. I'm officially a trainee designer as of next Monday.

I won't be broke no more!

Ordered mine from Asda online yesterday, order status says 'processing' and estimated despatch date is today. Mmm. I'll believe that when I see it...

Went into town for lunch and picked up a copy from HMV, cancelled my Play order as it said 'awaiting stock'. Everywhere seemed to have loads to be honest.

Really? I expected a drought in city centres across the land. My missus is out in town at the moment so I've sent her on a mission...

Well when I asked in Game a week or so ago they said they'd sold their pre-order allocation, but HMV had a few today, and from what I saw Game had loads, as did Gamestation, although that had an almighty queue in it. My advice would be to have a look, especially in less obvious places like supermarkets.

I went to buy Mario Kart the other day, and everywhere was sold out. Game said it'd be 4-6 weeks. So I went to Currys and got it there

Beat you to your post, MisterSteve! I picked up my copy of Mario Kart a couple of weeks ago from Currys when everywhere else had sold out.
