Was watching Irish Secret Millionaire this morning and they said 5000 euro. Sounded wrong to me.

Surprised there are any millionaires left in Ireland.

We use Euro in any press releases.

BBC News - Manchester police appeal over potato laptop fraud

Quote:
Greater Manchester Police are investigating a scam in which victims were conned into handing over hundreds of pounds for a bag of potatoes.

Police say at least four people have been approached by two men offering to sell them a laptop or iPhone.

One man paid up to £1,400 and walked away with a rucksack full of potatoes. Other victims received bottles of soft drinks.

How the hell do you mistake a laptop/iPhone for a bag of potatoes?!

Dutch normally says Euros, but the Irish say Euro. (From my experience)

I don't really have a preference.

When I use to work in the garage the gypsies turned up selling laptops. Of course there was one idiot that looked at the laptop but thought they were charging too much for it. A minute later they knocked £50 of the price and the lad bought it from them. As they drove off he opened the laptop box and found an encyclopaedia inside. Think it was A to C.

Everyone was shocked by it. Where did they get an encyclopaedia out of!?

Technically, ‘Euro’ (no ‘s’) is correct, though in general use you will get both fairly equally.
