I am persuasive.

Just because I complain about what someone asks for on here doesn't mean I always do it.

And, in fact, my argument over the stand has won out and I haven't included a stupid background.

Cheers for that rusty, but I don't fancy doing it myself.

Has anyone on here had their iPhone screen replaced? (Recently and in the UK, if poss). How much was it? I've done some googling and best place I've found so far is a £60 to send it to a guy in Watford.

Claiming on my household insurance isn't worth it, so it looks like I can't get a new one.

Any more rumours on the next gen coming out soon?

Putting down a new floor in the kitchen at the moment and I found an old invoice for heating oil under one of the kitchen units. Last time I put 1000 litres of oil in the tank, a about 3 weeks ago, it cost about 500 quid - in 2002 it cost 130.

Been up since 5.15.

I was in the garden in my boxers with a 6 iron in my hand trying to get some bloke off my property. He had tried to get in the front and back doors, and was shouting "let me in my fucking house - I live here". Missus wasn't happy I went outside, said it could have been a trick or something. I was fucking fuming though, he kept trying the doors and convinced he lived there. Would you have gone out to confront him? Bear in mind he wasn't a chav or a particularly big bloke, quite a well spoken student sort.

Should have let him in, put him in bed. Seen what he did when he woke up.

Back in the homeland I kept a metal baseball bat at my front door exactly for situations like that.

Yeh he was pissed up. Wondering if he used to live there a few years back or something,he looked genuinely confused when I told him he didn't live there.

I take it the guy was drunk? Or mental? A nice ice axe would have done the trick.
