just to re-cap ...

suggest meeting at wetherspoons - richard john blackler - here : The Richard John Blackler | Our Pubs | J D Wetherspoon which is 2 mins walk from Lime Street Station

: come out on the Skelhorne Street exit if poss and look to your right - you'll see it opposite the St Johns shopping Centre :

other decent booozer possibles include 'the fly in the loaf' and the 'philharmonic' - both about 10 mins uphill walk away

Jelly Baby - there were two in the autumn, at the end of September and at the end of November. The cream of DT met in an exclusive pub nestling in the shadow of London's prime landmark, Tower Bridge, on both occasions but I don't remember you expressing any interest at that time. I flew in from Helsinki at vast personal expense on both occasions to attend so I don't see why you should feel hard done by. ;-)
