Hi there - just wondering since i live on mirc - "quakenet" server was wondering if anyone would like be active member on a mirc channel say #dt.c?? would be no point if noone was active so ill put it to the poll

I think I've left my IRC days behind me now

I used to go on when the first-ever quake came out but I prefer icq, msn etc now.

I'd be up for and IRC channel, but only if it were also available via browser/CGIIRC as the wonderfull infrastructure pixies here use WebSense and disallow any access to chat programs via the network! Though CGIIRC does work:-)

well, shouldn't we focus on getting more ppl over here first?

If you have any ideas to promote the forum ket me know.

yeah I agree wait till there is more members to see if we want IRC.

Ideas for promoting the forum here - advertise ? ( dunno if you wanna spend any money?) post it on other forums, everyone get any designer friends they have to come and register, email create / computer arts & ask for a mention?.

Well, the main reason cgtalk & cgchat are succesful is cuz ppl post their work there and other ppl comment, then there's the software help forums, the news forums with industry news, etc. Basically you know there's something new to see every day.

well people can post their sites in the site check forum.
Dont worry, as the forum gets more people I will add more forums - eg a 2d section, 3d section, flash, programming etc etc.
