Nah, Murrays alright. Can't see why people are so ready to knock him, I for one think its refreshing to have a moody bugger playing rather than the likes nice boy tim. Being only 22 and ranked number 3 is not bad, though think he's got more developing to do.

On the other hand however, I can't fucking stand the likes of Henman and his army of middle class housewives shouting 'come on Tim' every fucking minute. Good riddance.

You might have a point there, especially in the womans game with so many eastern europeans (5 Russians in the top 10). Obviously i'm basing that on my preconceived notion that the easter Europeans would be from less affluent backgrounds, and hungrier as a result.

In all seriousness, I think Murray is a genuine world-class tennis player and will go on to win grand slam tournaments in the next few years.

It's got fuck all to do with class, how you find a correlation between tennis playing ability and their background is beyond me... do you have a chip on your shoulder about posh knobs? We lose at pretty much everything... football, olympics, tennis, etc... it's not through lack of resources, it's just because we aren't as good as the others.

Besides, Tennis is a toffs game... anyone who can afford to play all day instead of getting a job clearly is upper class.

i thought it was an achievement for a British player to reach the Semi final let alone the final. The reason we do not have good tennis players is down to lack of kids taking tennis up and being a minor sport, particularly in this day and age when its not politically correct to have a single player sports in schools like tennis as its more demoralizing on a kid if they loose all time and it dsn't build team skills.
