Viral Marketing - Have you ever used it?
Hey guys, I have a project I am working on. Will take a few months as it's a campaign I want to do across London and gather interest. I will be starting it in Jan. It require a lot of photoshop/graphic work as it is a set of posters raising awareness. Trying to get a charity on board too. (Hollister Bay - my portfolio btw I'm a designer) So I'm looking into a few of these viral marketing campaigns to put something out on the net soonish to start it off. I've been looking into some of the stuff companies do to raise awareness for their brand or product. Where Viral Marketing comes into play. I'm under the impression that Viral Marketing works where users can use it / share it / send it on / talk about it / save it Apparently one of the most popular one's of recent times has been what Burger King done where you tell the Chicken what to do - Subservient Chicken Recently there has been one I've noticed on Facebook profile pictures, alot of guys have a picture of themselves with girls holding up their picture...it's the same image just of YOURSELF in the picture held by girls. This is also Viral Marketing but I havn't found out where guys are getting this from. But it's cool - everyone can use it. Also there was one for Meet The Spartans movie with Carmen Electra where you go and enter your name and Carmen pretends she is dating you and in a video she shows a tattoo of your name on her ass. Clever. Viral Marketing - The Top 10 Viral Marketing Campaigns Of All Time That's an article of some video's - I don't think they are amazing as I prefer one's where we can actually do something like upload a picture, or move something on the screen like a mini flash game or something but it gives you an idea. A good article on how Batman did something amazing - Learn Viral Marketing From Warner Bros. |

Viral is a state not a product. You make a video and if you have good strategy that 'video' could go viral - most often something 'viral' isn't a product in itself. |
