Has anyone got a really decent placing in google and if so whats your secrets?
Basically I know page content has got to be the most important but what if its a site without much content on there ? Is it possible to get a good ranking still ?

well my www.eurogl.com was number 1 when i typed in eurogl is that good :P

My website www.sonicdeath.co.uk frequently gets high google rankings, but that is because it is very popular. Searching for plenty of the bands on the site brings SonicDeath up on the first page of results too.

The best way to get higher rankings on Google is through other sites linking to your site. If you can get referred to by already high-ranking sites, that will influence your ranking too.

I agree, the google ranking algorithm is very complex and changes all the time, but the best way to jump up the google rankings is getting other high ranked sites to link to you.
