Cheers Moloyebu.

As for location, I'm pretty flexible. I can get up and leave in the morning if needs be. I'm going to need a course. Maybe not a full time one, but one none the less. Ye need to learn the rules before you can break them (can't remember where I heard that). Where? I do not know. I can easily go between UK and Ireland. There should be something of merit there.

Eh? No good design courses in Scotland? Maybe you went to a shit one mate, but there are some quality degree courses.

Both Duncan of Jordanstone (Dundee) and the Glasgow School of Art have very good courses. In the last two years alone I personally know of graduates from there have gotten jobs at: Made Thought, The Partners, BBSaunders, Browns Design, Leo Burnett, Navy Blue

And those are only the ones I can be arsed mentioning, almost everyone from DOJ got good jobs within months of graduationg. I'd imagine GSA is the same.

Ha tis alright. I left before it rotted my brain and I killed the other students next to me. You would understand if you heard stuff like this frequently...

"So how do I open up this photoshop thingy"

"I'll use this comic sans one, its nice and roundy. Dont you think?"

"Dont you just love lens flare! I made it into a photograph! HeeHee!"

"How do I switch this computer on?"

"Whats typography mean?"

"Can I just copy yours a wee bit?"

etc etc

Yeah. Alot of self initiated briefs. I deleted it all and binned it all recently in a fit of crazy OCD rage. Working on a new one.

Plenty of good design courses in Scotland. ECA is good, Glasgow is good, Dundee are pretty fecking good this year from i seen at there degree show.

Next years degree show at Gray's School of Art will be shit hot, mainly because i'll be in it.

What about just a portfolio course at a local college. Or go and speak to the art schools and see if they'd let you join early into a degree in design. Or get a job in a studio and work your way up.
