Just remembered one very important difference for your list,

UK - Football
US - Soccer

It amazes me that you yanks call a game thats played with your hands, football. Who came up with that one eh ?

Yeah, you got us there...but take a second to watch...there is some kicking involved: field goals/extra points, punting, and kickoffs. NTM a little more contact than soccer/YOUR football. Oh, yeah, and usually good kickers in OUR football is done by tiny little men who were good at soccer/YOUR football.
