I've been but I haven't really been if you catch my drift. Went there on a day trip last year. It's a beautiful city, but that's all I can tell you.

I used to go all the time years ago - once a year for about 5 years, about 1997 to 2002. Used to love it, especially in the summer. Go easy on the mushrooms though.

That's exactly what I went for! I'd have it no other way. But most people may not want to do that.

What was interesting to me was that I was called out for being from British Columbia a few times while in Amsterdam, because I don't mix tobacco with my weed. Apparently that isn't the norm in the world, which quite surprised me (don't want to pollute my weed!).

So I was in a coffee shop one afternoon. The wife was in our hotel room sleeping cause she had her period, so I was out exploring by myself. I found a coffee shop/bar where I could have a beer while I smoked. I bought a bag of the nicest weed, and a bag of the nicest hash, mixed them together and rolled two big fat joints. Some Dutch guy came in and sat next to me at the bar, so I started chatting with him, and smoked my joints with him. Great conversation, but by the end, he was fucked up! Said he needed to go home and have a nap.

Although to be fair, I went back to the hotel and had a nap myself!
