I've noticed a few people on here who use Indexhibit for displaying their portfolio to the online world.

If you want to see something funny, go to the Indexhibit homepage, and check source code. Might see some interesting lines of code.

I'm not quite sure why it's there, seems strange is all. It used to be that sites hid tons of links like this to boost PR but I thought nowadays it just hurt it instead.

That's a shitty way of doing anything, regardless of motive. - Or could they be 'compromised,' in some way..?

They got hacked. It's a common technique where people upload an include to append stuff to the index file.

Also, Princeton's Forbes College seems to be hosting the bad stuff. I'm guessing that has to do with their Joomla installation being compromised! Oddly, neither of them provide an easy method of contacting the site owners. I'd have sent them an email if it was easy to do. But since it's not easy, it's not my problem.

Sorry 2Dfruit, you missed it. Do Gooder alerted them and they've fixed it. I guess somehow they had been hacked and in their source code was 150-200 spam links which were all hidden.

Possibly someone has a better explanation.
