London trip

Places to rent, anyone?

A friend and I are planning a short trip to London this summer. (Possibly)
Any chance you know how much rent for 4 people (we're bringing the ladies, too) would set us back? We're thinking of getting a flat somewhere, maybe, for a week or so.

Any pointers are more than welcome.

Cheers, all.

Emil, haven't a clue for short stays.

Gumtree would be a good bet, but be aware, most adverts are from estate agents, not private.

When you coming? You should try and coincide your visit with a Free event like Notting Hill Carnival or Rise Festival.

Free Summer Festivals in London – London Summer Festivals, Free Festivals in London

p.s. We pay £850 pcm for a 1 bed flat, but it is a nice area with good links and amenities.

Cheers, Mitch. I don't know exactly when I'll be there, but I'll try to make sure I have something to see, too.

It's basically the guy who does my programming and me with the wives, so anything design/development related would be interesting, too.

If you are in London Emil I am certainly going to meet up with you. Not in London itself so can't help with accom but I am only 45 mins outside.

The Easy Hotels are supposed to be cheap?
easyHotel.com for hotels from Stelios, founder of easyJet

Sure, Michael, I'd love to.

It doesn't really need to be cheap, but function of how much it'll cost us, we can determine when we come. From what i can tell about 1000 GBP (per couple) should cover for the plane and lodging.

Further tips are welcome.

It's me and the missus.

It's not a room, it's a 1 bed flat in a leafy london road in Ealing.

That was the bottom end of the 1 beds. Most nice flats were £1000+ PCM.

Yeah I would be up for that. Be nice to mix design with some Stella Artois in Shoreditch?

Jono can be the team beer leader.

d*d, you could get megabus for pennies, job done! Even GFW trains do it for £20 or £30 if you book in advance.

Lets get on it folks!
