Musta taken a while. Reminds me a little of my own imageless CSS experiments a few years back.

i'm sure the same could be achieved with old skool table layouts - td's 1x1 px with different bg colours?

Great but pointless and it nearly crashed my computer, you want images to load faster on websites not slower lol. I once saw star wars written in ascii (command prompt) so this sort of thing doesn't surprise me, i think some people just have too much time on their hands.

He was featured on Slashdot this morning. It's a program that does it....
