BBC News modernises.

BBC NEWS | News Front Page

I hate change but I guess it was inevitable. We will get used to it?

That's different?

Looks just like the old version to me.

Amazing what miracles of cutting-edge web design they create with the 72 million pounds a year they get, eh?

Is it your alarm telling you to wake up and smell what you're shovelling?

I really like it. Sorry :P

More space, room to breathe, in keeping with the new BBC site (which I don't like nearly as much). Looks like some of the site still isn't all converted over to the new style though, so look forward to seeing how the rest changes over

Simple and effective and not tiny and hiding on the left.

well done BBC - much more pleasant to read now. I rarely get to the front page as I only use the RSS feed.

changing such a monster can't have been easy.

It's more of a polish than a redesign, more inline with the redesigned homepage now, reckon there's a few more changes in the pipeline

According to a friend of mine who's one of the senior producers at the BBC's web team there are quite big things planned. Sounds interesting.

Interesting. I was chatting to Jesus not two days ago and apparently he and the big fella are about to roll out some interesting new updates to create World 2.0, including giving the Sun a jaggy badge edge and making everything a bit shinier and more gradient-y. Should be pretty exciting.
