Contracts

Hello,

I am working with a team overseas to build my website.
Should I use a contract with this team overseas?
Would it serve any purpose, if they were to run off with the site?
Locating them would be difficult, would it matter to use a contract?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Its up to you whether or not you want to use this 'team', look at their work. What have they said to you, how have they dealt with the whole 'project'. Do you consider them as good people to work with and are they good enough for you?

Regarding the contracts, if its your job your giving them to do. They should be the ones who provide a contract. If not then you draft one up. But really, they are the ones who should be worrying whether or not you will pay.

Contracts are vital, the same as a brief. I can't work without them anymore, they are a failsafe, a fall back if anything goes wrong etc.

IF you are that concerned about using them and whether to use a contract, go local or at least somebody in the same country as you are. But yes use a contract.
