For my final year dissertation i have to make a web site but now i am starting to think what i can make, has any1 done a dissertation before and like the share the idea? Or any1 who has an idea?

Best advice I had was to write about somthing that you're passionate about, a topic that has lots of legs, and that hasn't been done to death already.

Im going into my 3rd year at university in september and im making a website for the final year project too but no idea what im going to do mine on yet!

Not that im good at anything yet - got the summer to learn as much as possible!

Are you looking to do a dynamic website, or just some static design?

I did a handy Rails application and for my report I commented on the technical aspects, usability and "Web 2.0" as a whole.

I dont even know if ill be making a website - although i want to! Im studying Interactive Media - do bits with sound, video, director, flash (although i hardly used it) and dreamweaver.
Isnt very good my course i dont think as i havent covered the basics - dont know how to use css etc - only used tables! so trying to learn as much as possible.

i would prefer to make more of a dynamic site rather than static design - but not sure yet as i dont know what im capable of. - trying to learn as much html/css etc over the rest of the summer while i can!

I've got to do my dissertation and major project.

Haven't a clue what to do myself just yet, I noticed a student who's work was on display in the foyer at uni. The degree show etc.

Only seen it from a distance, however he/she just literally copied Si Scott and ripped him off BIG TIME. There wasn't even anything added to it. Scary to think he/she actually got away with it aswell.
