Portfolio of web work display
Hey, I got a ? When displaying samples of work, do most of you provide the live url, or a screen? I know some corporate extranet stuff I can only provide screens, but live ones, what I've found, is that either a) there are sections on the site I don't really like, but the sebsite owner wanted it and b) after it's live, the owner sometimes goes in and mucks with it, changing things in a way that people might say 'you did that?' I guess I don't like screens because it's more a pain first of all, but mainly, if you skrink it down, it loses some quality, plus, some pages, like a form page for example, could be quite long. Another little issue is that some of the work I do I didn't do the orginal design. Someone else does the design for the homepage, sometimes the Flash header, and I'll put it in HTML/CSS and do all the content layout and graphics, forms, things like that. So I want to make sure I don't take credit for others work, but still point out work I've done. Other than a simple disclaimer, and other suggestions for making sure I don't mis-represent someone else's work for mine? |
