Sounds like a load of bollocks to me made up by some paranoid recluse. How on earth can printers, which are mass produced, identify the person that printed it. They fail to mention that, or even to guess at it. Seems to me these dots are read by the printer to ensure the page is straight, or whatever. |

No, this is perfectly correct information. Xerox Laser printers - the big ones which offices use - employ this technology. Documents printed on a machine are all printed with a unique specific code in yellow which is invisible (almost) to the naked eye. I remember how disgusted and derisive people were in the West when it was revealed that typewriter owners in socialist Romania had to give a specimen of type produced on their machine to the police. The idea was that the source of samizdat or politically incorrect typed documents could be traced. It's good to know that American technology is catching up with the defunct Securitate.
