anyone got the pantone huey pro?
The standard pantone huey colour collaboration thingy looks a bit simplistic... but the pro version ( Color Control - huey™PRO ) looks the business. Any one got one? If so does it work well? |

Old thread, I know, but I received mine yesterday. 10 mins setup from unpacking to 'back to work'. Have to say, so far it has rectified what I thought was good enough calibration. First thing I noticed was a logo with 20% Cyan and 100%K that looked fine pre-Huey, but post-Huey I was able to see a bluish tint to it. I was using that combo to get a bit of a richer black. I changed it to CMY 40% K100% now and it looks the deep black that I wanted before. For the money, it's an easy decision. Fair enough, my company paid for mine. Such a warm nerdish feeling to receive a Pantone box in the post LOL |

use it on as many as you like. i think the pro version supports both crt and lcd... where as the standard fella might only do lcd you just plug in and go - very simple. i did the computers in work in under an hour - including sorting the profiles in CS2 and 3. you can keep the huey plugged in and it adjusts brightness of the screen to match the ambient light.. but that's by no means crucial.
