brand name clients
I'm re-doing my portfolio, and I'm trying to decide if I should include some of my "brand name" clients just for the wow factor, even if the work is pretty mundane. I considered using a logo/client list, but some of them were done as an employee of a firm and I don't think that would be too honest. any ideas? |

most studios have a portfolio of their best looking work displayed, just a select few, and somewhere else have a full client list. put the brand name stuff in the client list for the wow factor, but dont show the work |

Listing the big names can add clout to your portfolio - even if you don't show examples. It is unlikely that someone will ask what work you did for that client but at least you are able to back it up if needed. Do make sure you have permission though from the agency the work went though. You don't want to get tangled up in legal issues over who did what for which company. Follow DT updates on Twitter: http://twitter.com/designerstalk
