hey all.. i'm trying to figure out how to make a design similar to the ones seen on US curency. What kind of effect should I use, or how should I just go about trying to make somebodys face look like they do on the bills?

I've tried using the graphic pen effect in photoshop, and tried combining it with other effects like the halftone pattern and film grain... but i never seem to get it looking right.

any advice??

haha no.. trying to make a joke for a friend using their image.

They're drawn by hand, I'll guarantee you.

Generally they're done via engraving or etching.

so i'm guessing there's no way to recreate that in photoshop or the like?

Well, I'd say you could emulate the effect by drawing in Illustrator. But as far as "effects" - like filters and the like - doubtful.
