Holy shit what a bunch of twats. But seriously, does the world need so much conversation about it that my scrollbar all but disappears? Loose Apple's lawyers on them, as well as anyone else they can find (including Dan C. of course!) and let their "business" be crushed into nothingness. |

To be honest its pathetic how people carry on. If your logo means that much to you, register it and copyright it. if people want to rip it off they then do so at thier own risk. HOwever this Flickr discussion seems a bit lame, sure they copied the shape of the border, but that is about it. |

well then its all down to the copyright holder if they think its worth the legal challenge. It is amusing though to see how people take up a voluntary moral crusade on behalf of thier heroes. Many things in business are copied from competitors, its just that you have to be good enough not to get caught and when you are cuaght you make sure you can wriggle off hook with legality and other means. Microsoft is an old but good example, everyone still bangs on about how Microsoft "stole" Apples idea for windows, but people fail to see the point that Apple stole it first of Xerox. |
