Fuck that. Who wants to see real people in advertising? It's the only place you see decent make-up, clothes, faces which don't say "I'm pissed off", bodies you don't need to detour to overtake.
My last boss wanted to use "real people" instead of pretty American stock in his company's publications so I created a collection over several months of perfectly ordinary people (Finns) sitting around in typical Finnish conference rooms and leisure rooms chatting. They were all perfectly adequate technically but he didn't use a single one. Said they were lifeless and bland. Well, welcome to the Finnish work environment.
After that, it was me retouching American stock, as usual, replacing faces, lightening hair to make believe the beautiful slim actors were Finns.
As if a smartly dressed tall slim man with a pleasant expression could ever be mistaken for a Finnish office rat! If it were a squat short-legged, pock-faced unshaven gnome with a beer belly, it would be nearer the mark. But they're so hard to find in stock photography and believe me when I say I have searched for many years for typical realistic office stock.
Plastic is the only way.
