I ask what are some essential softwares for web designing? I currently use Photoshop CS 2 for graphics and Dreamweaver for coding.

I was wondering if other applications such as Illustrator and flash are essential for a web designer's success. Are there any other softwares I'm missing out on?

it depends on what you want to do really doesnt it? I mean if you want to make flash websites, dynamic stuff etc then learn flash. If you dont then dont its as simple as that really. Its never necessary unless you actually want to go into that field. Over the years ive been designing i have dabbled in most things just to get at least a basic knowledge and to decide if i would liek to firther it or not. I primarily use illustrator, photoshop, dreamweaver and flash, like most as they are all flexible and basic tools for creating good design. I would recommend though that you learn flash as its very up and coming at least have some basic knowledge. Have a looka round, if you see soemthign you like, find out how to do it!
