Snatch - great "d'like dags?"
Lock Stock - even better
Mean Machine - not as good, but good fun all the same.

Watched "Brotherhood Of The Wolf" yesterday - (has to be watched French with subtitles rather than English with crap dubbing) bit hit and miss, great martial arts, dogy CGI monster, but generally great. Bit of an epic as well: over 2 hours.

Talking of French films, Dobermann is worth seeing. Bit odd though.

shaolin soccer came out in Hong Kong a while back but now (about 2 years later!) it's finally getting a UK/US release. it's the highest grossing film in hong kong of all time - even more people saw it than the biggest jackie chan, jet li and bruce lee movies.

i confess i didn't like the US voice overs i saw in the trailor (but that's cos i'm half cantonese!) but all the same it's an amazing film and beats Bend it like Bollox all over the place.

so watch it or i'll stamp on your head, roy keane style

I have the R3 Hong Kong version with cantonese DTS soundtrack and english subs. Its also the directors cut, with a few extra scenes in it.

Its an allround comedy. You dont need to like footy (but it helps) but you probably need to like kung fu/matrix style effects.

I'm planning a seminar presentation atm on the music from that film.

And it is definitely worth a watch.
