flat CRT's: a joke?

Just wanted to find out what other peoples opinion is on this:

Flat screen monitors - meaning, flat - as in not physically convex.

I think the screen appears slightly "curly" towards the edges (horizontally). Optical phenomenon?
This applies to most flat screen monitors I've seen... Not all - but most.

Think the mac monitors I've seen didn't have that...

haha cheers d - have been tinkering all weekend with new flat screen - thinking it was bust

girlfriend told me to get eyes tested as it looked fine to her - what would she know

i think its mainly an optical thing, widescreen flat TVs tend to do the same.

(have fun editing my post MIK!)

I know - some people can't see this ( fisheye vision ) but it drives me nuts!
which is why I don't have a flat screen yet....

---

I noticed that about tvs too - but there it's almost an advantage...

- but for design purposes it's no good!

I do that too... the 'edit' button should be somehow less prominent.
