Was just checking my hotmail account and noticed it was asking me if I wanted to signup to the 'Windows Live Mail' beta, so I did and it converted my hotmail account for me. It's basically their rival for gmail - uses ajax, a really plain google-like interface and has 2gb of storage. Seems not bad so far - anyone else using it?

EDIT: New MS slogan - "Where did Google go today? We'll be there tomorrow."

Did you have hotmail Plus? I'm on the free one, still two megs of space.
I'm just keeping it to talk to people on msn

Why didn't they just give Hotmail a big upgrade?

you dont need to - you can sign up for an msn account just using your *regular* email address - during the signup, tick somewhere (dont remember exactly...zzz ) that you already have an email account. type that in and use your real password to sign up...

i found out by accident.
