Applying this year, i've got to have my form in by the end of this week - and ive still got 2 other universities to decide on. You have to put 6 down, so far: Camberwell Central St Martins Leeds Met Salford Any other prestigous uni's for graphic design? I've got Kingston on the short list. |

Cardiff (UWIC)'s Graphic Communication course is getting a great name for itself. They are now one of the 4 University's in Britain to be involved with Enterprise IG's bursary scheme for students who get paid to work for a couple of weeks at Enterprise IG. http://www.uwic.ac.uk/new/courses/ar...tion=undergrad (excuse the terrible website!) |

yeh i know, i've done a load of research on all that. My solution is to apply to a few places this year just for the practice - and if i get into one that i want to go to, then great. I don't expect to though, and i'm happy with doing a foundation year at my local art college. |

I was of the same oppinion Pat. But I spoke to a friend of mine who persuaded me to do a Foundation, and I loved it, as you get to dabble in things other than design. Which was fantastic, the most experimental year i've had. The leap from A level to Degree is massive. I'm really glad I did the Foundation. Just my oppinion though. Great practice tho getting the interviews, even if you don't get in and have to do the Foundation, at least you get to check the place out ready to apply next year? |

Some of the above uni's do foundations - makes it easier to transfer straight to one of their degree courses at the end of the year, plus you'll have already settled in, got to know the tutors and what they expect etc, |
