#1 Do not take bike to pub.
several pints later I tried to cycle home and got completely and utterly lost (in my own bloody neighbourhood). Took me about 2 hours. normally would have taken 20 mins.

I tried to ride to a mates house 2 miles away in the middle of the night clutching a bottle of brandy whilst totally pissed. Never mind getting lost, it is incredibly difficult to ride a bike while intoxicated.

Haha, that remembers me, I saw a couple of months some really drunken old timers getting out of a shitty pub on my street, getting on their bikes after tremendous efforts to put the damn thing between their legs, then waving at eachother wile their bikes were going straight to the middle of the lane.

Eh, you should've been there.
