Quicktime VR & Flash
Need to incoporate a fully rotational Object Quicktime VR movie into flash as part of a navigation so it will need to include hit areas etc. I've searched everywhere and have come to the conclusion that it can't be done while retaining all the QTVR functionality I'll need. I think I'll have to find another way around it, anybody heard different? |

You pretty much hit it on the head. I worked a project where it started in QTVR, I just ended up redoing the whole thing in flash (was a 3d panorama) I added what functionality I need on top of that. What special features do you specifically need? |

Recreating the full rotation would be fine. But I can't be arsed re-coding the draggable hand element. Plus I need to set hit areas, which again I could code, but really don't have the budget for. If there was a realatively cheep 3rd party conversions tool £300 or so then that'd probably be fine. But the ones I've found so far only appear to deal with panoramas not object rotations. Ah well. Like I told the designer initially - I don't think we can do it on this budget. I think it'll be too heavy for nav anyway back to blur as movement |
